Apollo Hi-Res scans online.

To allow full access to the original flight films for both researchers and the general public, Johnson Space Center and Arizona State University's Space Exploration Resources are scanning and creating an online digital archive of all the original Apollo flight films. Through this online interface, users may browse through the archive and download any of the images. This web site also provides a suite of resources regarding the images and the cameras that were used during the Apollo program. Finally, the scanning process is estimated to take three years with the first production scans recorded in late June 2007.

Off topic again... just showing off my Canon 400D

You can see the sky in the raindrops though.

M57 LRGB image re-processed.

Here's a highly processed and enhanced version of my LRGB image.

Below is a hubble image to compare.
I know the colours aren't correct, but it's the best I can do at present ;-)
I love the two small stars in the centre, and the smaller ones in the ring at the 6 o'clock position.
The central star is 14.7-mag.
"The Ring Nebula is about 2,000 light-years from Earth and has a diameter of about one light-year. The faint speck at its center was once a star of greater mass than our own Sun. Now, near the end of its life, it has ejected its outer layers into space, and the remnant is destined to die as a tiny white dwarf star, about the size of the Earth".

Mars LRGB

First use of my LRGB filters.
Mars was VERY low and there was a lot of turbulance, I was too tired to wait for it to get any higher.
Managed to capture a bit of detail, that was mainly on the red filtered image. The time was about 2:00 BST.

If I remember, I'm gonna get up at gone 4:00 ish tomorrow to catch it again, should be clear.
