Earthshine & New Moon 27th April 2009.

Takahashi Sky 90, Canon 50D, 500mm focal length, 1.6 second exposure @ 100 ISO. Processed in CS4.
I used my Velbon tripod tonight, although it's a bit small for the scope, (even the Sky 90 which is very light). This shot was taken with the 50D's 10 second delayed timer, so as to leave me just enough time for the wobbling to stop.

I took these leaning out of our spare bedroom window with the Tak resting on a cushion :-0

High altitude Cirrus clouds and new Moon

Nice Cirrus clouds this evening.
Maybe clear tonight, first time for ages. I went on holiday three weeks ago and took my OTA out of the shed for safe keeping. This is the first opportunity I've had to put it back!
