83 frames totalling 27mins exposure, @ISO1600.

M42 re-processed for last year.

C9.25, f6.5 FR, Canon 400D EOS, 45 x 30sec, darks, flats, bias.

M42 with some more data.

M42, M13 & M92 - re-processed from earlier this year.

M31 ...and others - processed with Noel's actions.

Been playing ...I bought a copy of Noel Carboni's Astronomy Tools today for Photoshop.
I'm still getting my head around them, but they're easy to use, and I can highly recommend them.

The actions used above are; Light pollution removal, Make stars smaller, Increase star color, Soft color gradient removal and a small amount of Star diffraction spikes (not really visible in this image).
Warning: Be prepared for loads of pretty pictures with star spikes all over them ;-)

I have re-processed my M42 from earlier this year and used Mischa Schirmer's excellent Gradient removal method for CS2.

Seeing wasn't very good again last night, so I gave up on Mars and went back to M42 in Orion. Even though it's very low in the sky and sitting in all the light pollution, it's amazing what can be achieved, (although it is the brightest nebula in the sky).
I also managed to get some good long duration shots of a minute, which amazed me as well.
The only problem I seem to be having is the colour, when the image comes out of Deepsky Stacker it is almost all blue in colour. I have tweaked the colour in Paintshop, but I'm not sure if it is correct.
I shot all the images in Canon's RAW mode, each image was about 10Mb in size :-0

The image at the bottom is a larger version with slightly different processing.

Processed in Deepsky stacker and Paintshop Pro.
BTW the seeing wasn't very good, I'm amazed the camera picked up anything.
Nearly a full Moon as well.

Orion Nebula M42... first time.

The seeing was bad last night, so much so that I gave up imaging Mars and switched to M42. Orion is still low in the sky, but as a first rough I'm quite pleased with the results.
