Hyginus rille from 15th Feb 2008

Here's another from the 15th Feb good seeing session which I hadn't processed until now. I was hoping that it would be part of a larger 3 image mosaic, but they didn't fit together too well. :-(

Saturn 27th Feb 2008 - RGB & Red filter

Average seeing tonight, although it always looks better when you're capturing ;-)
Saturn still seems really dull though, must be the tilt of the rings. For those interested, I'm capturing at Gain 895, Shutter 1/6, min Gamma/brightness. DMK camera with 3x TV Barlow & Astronomic RGB filters.

I got published again, again... Astronomy Now Magazine

Wow! this is a pleasant surprise. I went shopping in Marlborough today and popped into WHSmiths to have a look at the astronomy mags, and a Picture of Saturn that I took last year is in this years March edition of Astronomy Now magazine. This one here.
I'm well chuffed. :-) Thanks Neil Bone.

Strange sky tonight

I think it was slightly more green than this shot, which has been converted from RAW, other than that it's untouched.

Here's an example of the seeing that I'm getting in the UK. This image was produced from a 1500 frame AVI, 5 minutes later (thanks to the jet stream) the seeing had turned to this:-
