This image of the Sun taken with Canon EOS 400D and f/6.3 focal reducer on C9.25 with Baader film. 6 images stacked in Registax and slightly tinted and sharpened using Paintshop pro.

Below is an image of the sunspot (0969) taken at prime focus with the DMK camera.

Lower than below are some pictures of my homemade solar filter.
I tried to get the Baader film as flat as possible, but it has wrinkled over time. Doesn't seem to affect the imaging though... I think.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A giant hole in the Universe is devoid of galaxies, stars and even lacks dark matter, astronomers said on Thursday.

Here's something quite good, a new extension to Google Earth... Google Sky. I had a quick go this morning, works OK.

Make sure that you download Google Earth and not Google Earth Plus, because the 'Sky' icon is not on the latter.

Here's a view from the camera piggybacked to the scope, pointing at Cassiopeia (top left). The streaks are clouds. 3 minute exposure at ISO 800. M31 is just about in the centre.
