Uranus 21st August 2006

Uranus tonight... 1.7 billion miles away, boy is it small in the EP? Although it is discernable as a planet, I couldn't make out any colour though.
This was taken at prime focus, 600 frame AVI. Took a little while to find it using the Toucam. Mag 5.7

Moon 19th Aug 2006

Set the alarm this morning for 4:00am to observe the Moon. There was a band of cloud covering half the sky, with the edge just where the Moon was... grrr. But I got some imaging anyway. When I went out it was very dark, I was only out about 90mins, and in that time the sky was turning blue with the sunrise.

Mosaic of 13 images taken with Toucam.
Canon A620, 32mm EP.

Kepler, prime focus.
5:30 am, and it's already getting light.

Blimey! it's clear... so here's the Moon in monochrome and a close up in colour taken with my Canon Powershot A620.

The Tycho image is taken with the Toucam Pro webcam and an IR filter.

The Moon in April

Haven't seen the Moon much this month, so here's a view from last April.
