I spent about half an hour observing Jupiter last night.One thing I did notice was a very faint moon just underneath and indicated in this simulator image.
I can't for the life of me find what it was. It was very faint, serveral magnitudes below the brightness of the other moons. Could have been a star, but I don't think so.
